Luke 24:13-35

INTRODUCTION: Most Christians today live like the Saviour never rose from the dead. As such, we need a fresh reminder that we have not believed idle tales. The Saviour truly IS RISEN!

I. A DEFEATED JOURNEY (Luke 24:13-24)

A. The Time of Their Defeat (Luke 24:1-12)

2. The proclamations of a risen Saviour (Luke 24:4-10)

2. The direction of their journey—they “returned to Jerusalem”

B. The Change of Message (Luke 24:34-35)

1. They testified of a risen Saviour (Luke 24:34).
2. They testified of a revealed Saviour (Luke 24:35).
