CONCLUSION: The circumstances, conditions, genders, and ages of the afflicted vary in this chapter. Some were physically sick, but most, if not all, were sick spiritually. At a high level, their lives parallel in that the conditions at the start of their story were changed by the end of their story. In such cases, one must look for some thread of consistency in order to understand what made the difference in each of their lives. That difference is found in an encounter with Jesus! The moral of the story??? No matter what plagues your life, only an encounter with Jesus (first at salvation and later in fellowship) can fix your condition.
