John 14:1-31

INTRODUCTION: In just a few hours the Saviour would be taken and the disciples scattered. In approximately twelve hours, Christ will be lifted up on the cross. The Lord has already enjoyed the Passover and the Lord’s Supper with His disciples. After Judas’ departure, the Lord turned to a personal time of teaching with the remaining eleven.

I. THE COMFORT OF A PLACE (John 14:1-3)

A. The Concern for Troubled Hearts (John 14:1a)

1. The news of betrayal (John 13:18-21)
2. The love and care of the Saviour—“Let not your heart be troubled” (John 14:1a, 27)
