More, Not Less
2 Timothy 3:13; Hebrews 10:25
INTRODUCTION: I want to draw your attention to a couple of words in the above passages. These words demonstrate the opposing goals of the world and the saint. Evaluating those words may be used of the Lord to manifest your spiritual condition.
I. THE WORLD’S PROGRESSION (2 Timothy 3:13; see 2 Timothy 2:16)

II. THE SAINTS’ PROGRESSION (Hebrews 10:25)
A. Our Progress
1. Paul desired that the Romans would abound in hope (Romans 15:13).
2. Paul laboured more abundantly (1 Corinthians 15:10; 2 Corinthians 11:23).
3. Paul admonished the Corinthians to abound in the work of the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
4. Paul desired that the Corinthians would abound in multiple graces (2 Corinthians 8:7).
5. Paul desired that the saints in Corinth would abound to every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8).
6. Paul hoped the Colossians would increase in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10).
7. Paul wanted the Colossians to abound in what they had been taught (Colossians 2:7).
8. Paul desired that the Thessalonians would increase and abound in love (1 Thessalonians 3:12; 1 Thessalonians 4:9-10; 2 Thessalonians 1:3).
9. Paul beckoned the Thessalonians to abound more and more in their walk with God and in pleasing Him (1 Thessalonians 4:1).
10. Paul begged the Hebrew Christians to exhort one another so much the more (Hebrews 10:25).
